POP/IMAP Configuration

The POP/IMAP configuration must only be completed by users who already have a fundamental understanding of a POP/IMAP system and the requirements needed to configure the system correctly.

POP/IMAP configuration is only available for 'On-Premise' versions of the IDM product.

Enabling POP/IMAP (Post Office Protocol/Internet Messaging Access Protocol) configuration allows an administrator to decide between POP or IMAP for the systems email protocols, and configure the settings for either POP or IMAP.

  • To access the POP/IMAP configuration tab, the toggle switch must be set to the ON position.

  • Protocol: Select the email protocol either POP or IMAP.

  • Host: This is the address for the outgoing mail server.

  • Enable Encryption (SSL/TLS): The option to enable or disable the SSL/TLS certificate verification process.

  • Port: Specify the port to be used to send mail. Please note that some Ports may be blocked by default, Please contact AMAG Technical Support for more details if required.

  • User Name: Enter the email address (typically this is the user name) used to send mail.

  • Password: Enter the password for the account.

  • Click the Save button to apply the settings.

  • Navigate to the POP/IMAP Configuration Test tab in order to test the configuration.

  • Click the Test Saved SMTP Configuration button. If the configuration has been successful, a test email will be sent to the email address added by the user.
